September is a great time to fish the Lower Sac, Patsy was on her hook set and landed her biggest rainbow yet. Switching between small beatis patterns and hydrophsyche caddis, we were into them most of the day.
Jim Roberts joined Chuck and John for a fun outing on the Lower Sac. The big bows are caught this time of year on the hydropsyche caddis. September Tradition!
A big group of fisherman hit the Lower Sac. 6 boats on our trip. Fun was had by all. Before today, Ed and Sean had no fish on a fly to tell about. Open this and check out there first day of fly fishing with a guide.
Fishing was very similar to the trip before. A couple of big fish got away that I think Scott would have loved to put in the net. These very impressive Rainbow Trout are what keeps us coming back to this river.
Fishing was good on the Lower Sac. The temp. in Redding was over 100. This was our first of two days. We took a day off, but tomorrow Scott and I are gonna hit it again. I’m looking forward to it. >>See more pics here.
Today it was down to Redding for a Lower Sac float. This was a great way to end 3 days in a row of fishing. I am always impressed with how these fish charge. For a change of pase, it was all nymphing. >>check out more pics here!!
I helped out Mike Hibbard with a group trip. Our day was great. Fish on the line, lots of laughs, and fun had by all.
All May the Lower Sac has been fishing great. The crowds are down and the bite is on. PMD’s, Big Rubber Legs, Eggs are the hot ticket. There will still be great fishing for another week or two until they ramp up the flows. Get on it soon!!! >>LOTS OF PICS HERE!
Day after day this river kicks down some of the country’s largest native rainbows. Pat caught one
