Our friend Carl joined us for a day on the McCloud River Preserve. We got off work early and had to make a few cast with the new Freestyle Walker Golden Stone. Maybe it was the fly, maybe it was the spot, maybe it was the angler. SEE A FEW MORE BIG BROWNS HERE!
Hot weather heats up the McCloud River. It depends on who you ask, but if you ask me I say she is fishing pretty good. Another Big Brown for the Hall of Fame. Are you wishing you were fishing too?

Kim fished almost all dry flies, and might I add she fished them well. This girl casts a beautiful loop. She marched through some of the toughest terrain the McCloud has to offer and earned herself a good number of fish. That is not easy!
I’d hire Emma as a guide. She is a third generation Fly Fisher, and her father’s favorite fishing partner. By the way, we saw two more monster browns, one of them swims hauntingly in my dreams. Damn I wanted her to land that beast.
Today I worked for the McCloud river famous, Ron Hart. We fished through the heat of the day. A few fish swam up to eat the dry but most were caught below the surface. I had a great time on the water with Jim and Kevin. Thanks so much for having me guys. >>See more pics

Back in my element on the McCloud, wet wading and pig hunting with my fellow guide pals Chuck Volckhausen, Aaron Grabiel and Gabe Duran. A huge father son group of 16 anglers hit the McCloud. Check out Allen’s Loch Levan and German Browns! Two more for the McCloud Hall of Fame.
