From 1-4 be ready to catch some great fish on dries. Fishing was great during the afternoon as pmd’s, and gray drakes were popping.The fish were keyed in on both so just changing flies offered us multiple chances. We only caught a few fish under 12″ as most were big hefty rainbows like shown in the photo. The McCloud is beautiful and I am wandering her banks with childish excitement. This was one of the most glorious spring days I have experienced. John, you are an incredibly talented guide and you are so much fun to spend time with. Thank you for what proved to be an amazing day on the gorgeous McCloud RIver! Because of this day, I have decided that the McCloud RIver is the most beautiful river in our region.
