Entry for September 15, 2007
Gene and I did the hike from Chatterdown (spelling?) to the clubhouse and caught numerous fish on streamers. It was a great fun day. Right after we photographed this photo the river turned to milk again and was basically un-fishable for the 2nd half of the day. The Bollibokka club is at its best with Ellis and Sam doing a fantastic job of organizing these trips. My hat goes off to ya both.

Steve had great lessons from me on streamer fishing on his last trip so we focused on pocket water presentations. All day we had success and the fish were grabby if done right. We focussed on perfect drifts not long drifts.

I missed guiding Gene Weber for the last few years, but it was sure good to remind him that I could get him into bigger fish then who he was using. Gene is a great angler and was willing to dedicate three days to streamer fishing with me. What great rewarding fun. We spotted this 20 incher in a deep pool and she struck on the third cast. Their is no drug like the tug.

I had the honor to take my father in law fishing, we told the wives we would bring back dinner and Tetsuya caught some beauties that tasted great. He is a great caster even though he only fishes once a year, it must be his patience.

Well after milking up the McCloud is fishable again!!! The day started kinda slow in the Nature Conservancy, with Andy and Pierce giving it their all on a tough wading adventure. Andy has been a great client for years now and I owe him some great fishing. Today however only Pierce got to taste what the McCloud can do right in the evening we tripled our numbers for all day. Luckily Andy went out the next day and landed a huge brown on his own. Its hard to predict the good fishing these days. We are on the verge of something great and all of you should be planning now, but she is still not prime. As you can see the water is clear. Hope it stays that way.
